Text messaging program

How text messages sent through ChurchBright are consented to, what they contain, and how to stop them.

Who sends the texts

ChurchBright is church management software. Each church that uses it is the sender of its own text messages, sent to its own members and visitors. The church’s name appears in the message.

ChurchBright does not sell or share phone numbers, and does not send marketing texts on its own behalf.

Who receives texts and how consent is collected

A church texts only people who gave their mobile number to that church and agreed to receive texts, for example on the church’s sign-up, connect or registration form, at check-in, or in person. The church records an SMS opt-in for each person in ChurchBright, and texts are sent only to people whose SMS opt-in is on.

Service reminder

Grace Community Church: Sunday service is at 9:00 am. We would love to see you! Reply STOP to opt out.

Giving receipt

Grace Community Church: Thank you, Ada. We received your gift of $50.00 on 5 Oct. Reply STOP to opt out.

Volunteer rota notice

Grace Community Church: Hi Sam, you are on the welcome team this Sunday at 8:30 am. Reply STOP to opt out.

Churches can have “Reply STOP to opt out.” added to their texts.

Opt out and help

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive no more texts from the church, and a single confirmation message may be sent.
Reply START to resume receiving texts.

Privacy

We do not sell or share mobile information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
